Data Analytics Engineer (AI)

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States; hybrid work with flexibility to work from home and access to company offices. Remote work from eligible locations is available for up to 2 months per year.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Partner with customers and client delivery teams to understand data domains, define infrastructure requirements, validate assumptions, and resolve data issues.
• Explore complex customer data and recommend approaches for cleaning, analysis, and statistical interpretation.
• Build customer-facing data products, including interactive analysis platforms, data quality reports, statistical analyses, and visualizations.
• Develop AI capabilities such as automated insights, anomaly detection, AI-assisted data quality checks, and natural-language interfaces.
• Design, own, and monitor reliable ETL/ELT pipelines, including AI-assisted workflows.
• Improve data cleaning, modeling, analytics, and quality-assessment tools through automation and AI enhancement.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a data-driven role or equivalent data-related research experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or another data-driven field.
• Competence in Python, R, or an equivalent programming language.
• Competence in at least two areas: database technologies, data science libraries, data pipeline tools, or cloud providers and their SDKs.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings and operational workflows as clear, repeatable steps.
• Demonstrated commitment to data integrity, trusted datasets, continuous learning, and collaborative problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI tools such as AWS Bedrock or LangChain.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest.
