Analyst, Commerce Analytics (Contract)

Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, United States. Unrestricted work authorization in the United States is required; an in-person interview may be required.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze commerce, audience, editorial, affiliate, and product performance data for TODAY and NBC News.
• Partner with editorial, business, product, technology, broadcast, finance, and data engineering teams to identify growth opportunities.
• Investigate trends and performance drivers, translating findings into actionable strategic recommendations.
• Work with large datasets and data lakes across multiple sources and inputs.
• Maintain and distribute dashboards and reports supporting data governance and business decision-making.
• Prepare data for senior executive presentations and create visual reporting for cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• BA/BS or MS degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, computer science, or another quantitative field.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
• Experience working with large, disparate datasets.
• Knowledge of Tableau, Looker, Domo, or equivalent data visualization tools.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, collaboration, accountability, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with R or Python.
• Experience with statistical models.
• Experience with web, mobile, search, or social analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
