Lead Cybersecurity Threat and Vulnerability Analyst (AI Security)

Location: Charlotte, NC; hybrid work from remote and onsite locations, with residence required within a reasonable daily commute to a hirify.global facility.

What you will do

• Serve as the cybersecurity subject matter expert for AI technologies deployed across the enterprise.
• Develop AI Attack Surface Management capabilities for discovery, inventory, monitoring, assessment, and risk prioritization.
• Assess risks affecting AI applications, agents, LLMs, RAG implementations, third-party AI platforms, and AI-enabled business processes.
• Establish security requirements, standards, controls, architecture reviews, and risk assessments for AI deployments.
• Drive AI-enabled cybersecurity capabilities for vulnerability prioritization, attack surface visibility, automated analysis, and remediation workflows.
• Communicate complex AI and cyber risks to senior leadership while mentoring cybersecurity professionals and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field, plus at least 8 years of related work experience; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of related experience.
• At least 7 years of cybersecurity experience in areas such as security architecture, application security, cloud security, attack surface management, threat and vulnerability management, or threat intelligence.
• Experience assessing AI technology risks or using AI-enabled capabilities for cybersecurity operations, automation, analytics, or risk prioritization.
• Ability to lead complex cybersecurity initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and translate technical risks into business recommendations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience securing AI, machine learning, generative AI, agentic AI, or data science environments.
• Experience with AI governance, AI risk management, AI security controls, or adversarial machine learning.
• Experience with cloud-native security technologies, modern application architectures, AI-enabled security tooling, automation platforms, analytics, or security orchestration.
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NERC CIP, PCI DSS, or related standards.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GSEC, or GRID.
