Senior Business Intelligence Analyst 1 (AI)

Location: New York, New York, United States; in-office 4–5 days per week

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 USD annually, plus equity.

The Farmer’s Dog provides personalized, freshly made dog food through a direct-to-consumer subscription service and is expanding into broader personalized pet care.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Own evaluation processes for reporting through AI surfaces and validate data sources, transformations, joins, calculations, and business rules.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to improve data quality and consistency.
• Translate analytical findings into practical business recommendations and present them clearly to stakeholders.
• Clarify stakeholder requirements and identify opportunities to automate and scale recurring analysis and reporting.
• Support analytics infrastructure, reporting processes, and self-service data analysis across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or a related data-focused role.
• Advanced SQL skills, including developing, optimizing, and maintaining analytical and reporting solutions.
• Experience building dashboards and data visualizations with BI tools; Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Omni, or Sigma experience is relevant.
• Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and data transformation processes.
• Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences and support data-driven decisions.
• Ability to work in the office 4–5 days per week in New York City.
