Senior Solution Architect (Banking Transformation)

Location: Lisbon or Porto, Portugal; hybrid with 3 days remote per week. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Europe.

hirify.global is establishing an architecture team in Portugal for a leading banking client and its financial transformation programs.

What you will do

• Conduct architecture studies and create Solution Draft Proposals for validation.
• Guide development teams in producing architecture documentation aligned with committee expectations.
• Maintain reference architecture documentation, IT Master Plans, and technical maps.
• Manage architecture governance for multi-year transformation programs.
• Prioritize program backlog features and collaborate with global CIB and Risk IT architecture communities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT experience, including ideally 5+ years in capital markets and solution architecture.
• Strong skills in framing analysis and modeling with UML and BPMN.
• Dynamic, customer-focused, proactive, organized, and communicative approach.
• Fluent English required for international collaboration.
• Existing legal right to work in Europe required.

Nice to have

• Architecture framework certifications such as TOGAF.
• Experience in banking or financial services.
