Senior Frontend Engineer (E-commerce)

Location: Hamburg or Berlin, Germany

What you will do

• Build high-traffic user interfaces and new shop features for enterprise e-commerce platforms.
• Develop frontend functionality focused on user experience and conversion rates.
• Work with the Tech Lead on architectural decisions and evaluation of web technologies.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA engineers, and designers on design systems and product features.
• Maintain code quality through reviews, automated testing, and retrospectives in an agile Scrum environment.
• Implement accurate, accessible interfaces using modern frontend tooling.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Professional experience with TypeScript and Vue 3, Nuxt 3, or Node.js; deep React experience with willingness to transition to Vue is also considered.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Jest, or Vitest.
• Background in B2C e-commerce or a fast-paced boutique agency environment.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue Storefront or SCAYLE.
• Experience with Redis.
• Passion for accessibility.
