Mid-Level COBOL Developer – Mainframe Asset Services (Fintech)

Location: Lisbon, hybrid, with up to 2 remote days per week. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in Europe.

What you will do

• Maintain and develop existing mainframe applications using COBOL and related technologies.
• Perform technical analysis for application enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and update technical documentation for system processes and tickets.
• Estimate the effort and resources required for new and ongoing tickets.
• Conduct unit testing and support incident management with technical and business teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of COBOL development experience on mainframe platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Developer for z/OS and COBOL programming.
• Experience with DB2, SQL, and JCL scripting.
• Ability to analyze and organize technical tasks efficiently.
• English at a minimum B2 level is required.
• Existing legal right to work in Europe is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MQSeries.
• Previous experience in asset servicing or custody services.
• Knowledge of French.
