What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend applications with a strong focus on REST API development.
• Participate in the migration from Java 8 to newer versions, including Java 21 and Java 25.
• Design and implement solutions using Java, Spring, and jOOQ.
• Work with a multi-service platform communicating through REST APIs and increasingly asynchronous messaging.
• Contribute to Kafka and messaging-based platform evolution, CI/CD processes, code reviews, and code quality.
• Collaborate on system improvements and delivery of new functionality.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong Java experience, including version upgrades and migration from Java 8.
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Tomcat, jOOQ, Java Server Faces, PrimeFaces, and MS SQL.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs, working with GitHub repositories, CI processes, and code reviews.
• Practical experience using AI-powered software delivery assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
• Good command of English at B2 level or higher, EU work location, and a valid work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Kafka, Apache Storm, KSQL, asynchronous communication, or event-driven architecture experience.
• Familiarity with SOAP and basic AWS knowledge, particularly S3.
• Structured use of GenAI in the software development lifecycle, including workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations.
• Interest in agent-based workflows, automation patterns, and AI-augmented development.
