TL;DR
Senior Technical Product Owner (Insurance): Building scalable insurance solutions and future insurance products across a complex technology landscape with an accent on system integrations, APIs, data exchanges, and underwriting and pricing processes. Focus on refining technical requirements into actionable user stories, coordinating agile delivery, optimizing platforms, and mentoring Technical Product Owners.
Location: Hybrid, with two days per week in a UK office. Preferred office base is Osterley; Leeds-Whitehall and Livingston are also available. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Lead technical analysis, scope features, and translate objectives into development-ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Lead agile ceremonies, facilitate product and technical discussions, and coordinate dependencies across teams.
- Define requirements, data mappings, and technical specifications for insurance platforms using integrations, APIs, and data exchanges.
- Support high-quality, performant, and scalable solutions for the panel operating model and future insurance products.
- Identify technical optimization and continuous improvement opportunities using feedback, data, and retrospectives.
- Coach and mentor Technical Product Owners and improve capability across the TPO community.
Requirements
- Experience as a Technical Product Owner or in a similar role within financial services, ideally insurance.
- Experience with platforms involving multiple system integrations, APIs, data exchanges, and third-party suppliers.
- Strong understanding of system domains and development, testing, and release processes.
- Strong experience with scaled agile software delivery and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to communicate with product, commercial, and technology stakeholders and influence without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, Postman, SQL, and platform monitoring tools.
