TL;DR
Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Go): Building and operating high-throughput, real-time distributed systems for Grab's Mobility platform with an accent on infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational excellence. Focus on diagnosing incidents, managing cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code, improving reliability and scalability, and mentoring junior engineers.
Location: Onsite at the Beijing office, China

What you will do
- Build automated solutions for manual operational tasks and infrastructure challenges.
- Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and provisioning tools.
- Diagnose incidents deeply and coordinate resolutions with multiple engineering teams.
- Improve reliability, stability, scalability, and operational excellence across high-throughput distributed systems.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical culture, and support infrastructure decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
- Professional experience with Go, Python, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, Linux troubleshooting, shell scripting, and automation or provisioning tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack, or Puppet.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required, and the role is based onsite in Beijing.
Nice to have
- Experience with Golang and cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and high-throughput streaming services or Flink.
- Cloud or containerization certifications.
- Open-source contribution experience involving performance analysis and debugging tools.
