Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan; hybrid workplace. Office location: Tokyo.

What you will do

• Define security blueprints, threat models, and reference architectures for product and corporate environments.
• Develop technical solutions to prevent or mitigate vulnerabilities and strengthen system security.
• Build automated security checks into developer and AI-agent workflows to reduce manual reviews.
• Create API-based integrations between security tools such as CSPM, SAST/SCA, ASM, EDR, and network scanners.
• Build real-time security observability so engineering teams can understand the security posture of their services.
• Lead technical controls and guardrails that enable safe enterprise AI adoption.

Requirements

• English and Japanese proficiency required to support a multinational engineering community.
• Hands-on experience securing rapid enterprise AI adoption, including third-party LLM integrations, MCP server onboarding, or agentic tools operating on internal systems.
• Strong Security as Code mindset and experience building self-service security capabilities through automation.
• Deep knowledge of system vulnerabilities, remediation and mitigation techniques, including penetration testing.
• Strong understanding of the intersection between DevOps and SecOps, with experience building high-velocity and secure engineering cultures.

Nice to have

• Experience with supply chain security and SBOM-based vulnerability management.
• Ability to design technical guardrails for agentic systems.
• Active interest or community involvement in AI protocol standards such as MCP and A2A.
