What you will do

  • Lead the APAC Life & Health Contracts function and represent the region within the global Contracts Leadership Team.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret traditional life and health reinsurance agreements.
  • Ensure contractual terms reflect underwriting intent and provide recommendations on wording, deal structure, and risk trade-offs.
  • Own deviation governance, contracting standards, documentation rigor, and decision traceability across the region.
  • Partner with underwriting, pricing, claims, legal, risk, portfolio management, and Client Markets teams.
  • Lead workflow modernization and the adoption of responsible GenAI-enabled drafting and review practices.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of experience in Life & Health reinsurance contracting, including substantial drafting and negotiation of reinsurance agreements.
  • Legal qualification is preferred, with strong commercial judgment and the ability to articulate risk trade-offs.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple Asian locations in a regulated and complex reinsurance environment.
  • High-accountability leadership style with the ability to set standards, challenge stakeholders constructively, and make disciplined risk decisions.
  • Commitment to talent development and experience driving workflow modernization and technology-enabled change.
