HSE Advisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Laverton North / Altona North, Victoria, Australia; primarily site-based with travel between manufacturing sites required

What you will do

• Partner with site leaders across multiple manufacturing sites to implement HSE standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments, and corrective action follow-up.
• Lead and support incident investigations, reporting, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
• Provide HSE advice, coaching, and training to leaders and employees.
• Monitor and report HSE performance, risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with operational teams, regulators, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in HSE within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience with risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting multiple sites and managing competing priorities.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, sustainability, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or Diploma of Work Health and Safety.
• Training in Australian regulations and standards relevant to manufacturing, including the WHS Act and AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018.
