Salary: €70,000–€85,000 per year

What you will do
- Develop a search engine using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Process extensive data volumes with Google BigQuery and integrate with business intelligence systems and the data platform.
- Build and improve high-traffic APIs with minimal latency.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, QA specialists, and analysts to improve existing functionality and launch new features.
- Define architectural decisions with the Tech Lead and evaluate new technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- 2+ years of experience building scalable APIs with Node.js, Python, Go, or similar technologies.
- Recent practical experience with a typed programming language such as TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Ability to write efficient, maintainable code and actively improve code quality.
- Ability to work in English in an agile environment and be based in Hamburg or Berlin, Germany.
Nice to have
- Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
- Experience building data models with dbt and working with MPP data warehouses such as BigQuery or Redshift.
- Experience with Datadog or similar centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
- Experience with AWS or GCP and orchestration services such as Dagster or Airflow.
- Experience with distributed data processing, machine learning models, or LLM-based systems.
