Laboratory Technician I (Food Testing)

Location: Lancaster, PA, USA; onsite Tuesday–Saturday shifts

What you will do

• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate daily records of laboratory work.
• Enter sample data into the Eurofins eLIMS system.
• Perform laboratory testing accurately and efficiently while meeting sample turnaround-time goals.
• Verify results and submit them for transmission to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify process difficulties, non-conformances, and out-of-specifications, and report proposed solutions.
• Follow laboratory quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow quality-system requirements, SOPs, work instructions, and analytical methods.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in microbiology, food science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
