Laboratory Assistant (Food Testing)

What you will do

• Clean, dry, store, and maintain laboratory glassware and related work areas.
• Dispose of waste solutions and retrieve washroom acids and solvents.
• Perform sample preparation and assist with sample registration.
• Learn basic laboratory operations, including media production.
• Receive, organize, and manage laboratory supplies using inventory and ordering systems.
• Maintain safe, efficient, punctual, and reliable laboratory operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Availability for overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays.
• Ability to stand for approximately eight hours and perform repetitive tasks consistently and accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment.
• Ability to handle food-testing conditions, including unpleasant smells and rotting food.
