Marketing Manager (Public Sector)

What you will do

• Own marketing strategy and execution for the Aikido Strategics and Defense public-sector vertical.
• Develop messaging and positioning for federal, government, and defense buyers.
• Partner with content, web, PR, events, and demand generation teams to launch programs.
• Support field marketing through industry events, private dinners, and VIP programs.
• Drive government-focused content, campaigns, and digital presence.
• Represent public-sector priorities in broader company marketing plans.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience marketing to government, defense, or public-sector audiences.
• Broad cross-functional marketing experience across content, events, digital, web, and campaign execution.
• Strong understanding of government and defense messaging and buyer requirements.
• Ability to work independently, challenge generic commercial approaches, and move initiatives forward across teams.
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Must be based in or near Chicago or willing to commute regularly.

• Experience with developer tooling, DevOps, or cybersecurity.
