Senior Data Developer (Databricks)

Location: Campinas, Brazil; hybrid work with mandatory attendance at the CI&T office three times per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

What you will do

• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Implement data lakes, warehouses, integration layers, and Databricks-based data architectures.
• Develop integrations between data sources, third-party tools, APIs, and analytics platforms.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, monitoring, security, and privacy controls.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics Managers and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Optimize query performance, pipeline efficiency, storage costs, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in data development and engineering.
• Experience with Databricks and major cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Strong experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Proficiency with data warehousing solutions such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, plus SQL and Python, Scala, or Java.
• Understanding of data modeling and database design principles, with experience supporting international clients.
• English at B2 level or above and availability to work from the Campinas office three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Stitch, Kafka, Pub/Sub, or Kinesis.
• Databricks, cloud, or data engineering certifications.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AI/ML pipelines, MLOps, or Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with D2C initiatives and e-commerce analytics.
