Medicare Data Entry Specialist (Insurance)

What you will do

• Enter prescription drug information from Medicare Supplement Insurance applications into a web-based database.
• Verify prescription names, original prescription dates, dosages, and usage frequencies.
• Identify missing, unclear, or potentially incorrect prescription information.
• Contact agents by phone to obtain information needed for application processing.
• Send electronic notices about delays, problems, and missing information.
• Assist with application data entry using the mainframe computer system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months to one year of related experience, or at least one year in an advanced clerical position requiring independent judgment.
• Proven prescription drug knowledge; pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize work, manage time effectively, and work scheduled or rotating shifts, overtime, and assigned staffing schedules.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and dependability are required.
