Cloud Pentester

Location: On-site in Chantilly, Virginia; minimal travel and standard working hours.

Salary: $190,500–$232,800 annual salary for the Virginia area.

What you will do

• Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and adversarial emulation across enterprise networks, operating systems, applications, virtualized environments, and cloud systems.
• Apply offensive cyber techniques, attack methodologies, exploitation approaches, and adversarial TTPs to identify and validate security weaknesses.
• Analyze network architectures, security controls, system configurations, and potential attack paths.
• Test Windows, Linux, virtualized, enterprise computing, hypervisor, and supporting infrastructure environments.
• Assess security architectures, technical designs, and system implementations against cybersecurity best practices.
• Analyze findings, develop risk mitigation strategies, and provide recommendations to improve security posture.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience conducting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, or offensive cyber operations.
• Experience with cyberattack methodologies, exploitation techniques, security testing frameworks, and adversarial TTPs.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, security controls, and Windows, Linux, and virtualized platform security.
• Experience with network security analysis, architecture reviews, and security control assessments.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise security architecture, complex Windows infrastructures, hypervisors, virtual environments, and enterprise computing platforms.
• Familiarity with major cloud service providers, cloud-native security concepts, and cloud architecture design.
• Experience developing risk management methodologies and translating technical findings into mitigation plans.
• Hands-on experience with commercial and open-source penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and network analysis tools.
• Certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, CEH, CISSP, or GCIH.
