Senior Software Engineer - Front End - Studio (Core) (Fintech)

Location: London, UK; employees must work in the office at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Build highly reliable, API-driven payment systems that support global expansion and reduce manual operational work.
• Translate product and design requirements into clean, maintainable, well-tested components.
• Collaborate with product managers, business, operations, designers, and back-end engineers.
• Identify and resolve performance, accessibility, and usability issues across the application.
• Contribute to code reviews, shared component libraries, engineering standards, and the operational health of features.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with the ability to work with TypeScript, React, Go, and Python.
• Experience making technical decisions and owning complex, large-scale engineering problems end to end.
• Hands-on experience with scalable architectures using Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of global payment ecosystems, external banking APIs, distributed systems, software design patterns, clean code, and automated testing.
• Ability to manage technical debt, negotiate requirements, improve tooling and processes, and deliver reliable solutions.
• Ability to work from the London office at least three days per week.
