Part-Time Inpatient Staff Pharmacist (Overnights/Holidays) - NV/CO

Location: Based in a Cigna office in Denver, Colorado or Las Vegas, Nevada; occasional or permanent home working may be possible with a cable broadband or fiber connection of at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

Salary: $54–$91 per hour, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Perform remote order entry, order and drug verification, and patient and staff counseling for multiple hospital clients.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services, drug information, therapeutic recommendations, dosing adjustments, interaction reviews, compatibility guidance, and infusion support.
• Work with IV fluids, TPN, narcotic and cardiac drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and medication needs for special populations.
• Investigate and resolve medication variances within 48 hours and document orders, interventions, and recommendations by the end of each shift.
• Use multiple pharmacy information systems, VPNs, automation systems, and common productivity software while troubleshooting basic connectivity issues.
• Maintain productivity metrics, required access credentials, pharmacist licenses, and compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• Active pharmacist license in Colorado or Nevada in good standing required.
• Willingness to obtain additional licenses in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Michigan, South Carolina, and New York.
• At least one year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of formulary management and Pharmacy and Therapeutics procedures.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, plus proficiency with client/server applications, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, internet, and email.
