Undergrad Intern - Operations – Engineering (Summer 2027)

Location: Remote or onsite in New Albany, Ohio; Holly Springs, North Carolina; South San Francisco, California; or Thousand Oaks, California. Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Salary: $28.87 per hour

What you will do

• Support engineering project development, planning, standards, equipment selection, and technical documentation.
• Assist with technical feasibility evaluations, engineering assessments, lifecycle impact assessments, cost analyses, and project business cases.
• Research construction, engineering, and project processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support strategic engineering projects, capital planning, and project controls activities.
• Help develop, test, and improve digital, automation, data, and AI-enabled tools.
• Contribute to environmental, health, and safety initiatives and communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the program.
• Currently enrolled full time in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Must have completed at least one year of study before the internship and remain enrolled after the program.
• Must be available for a full-time schedule during the approximately 13-week internship.
• Relevant fields include engineering, construction management, architecture, computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, information systems, analytics, mathematics, statistics, environmental health, public health, nursing, or related disciplines.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, time-management, independent-working, collaboration, curiosity, and initiative skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Exposure to data analysis, visualization, Python, SQL, Power BI, BIM/Revit, automation, or generative AI tools.
• Interest in applying engineering, data, AI, automation, and continuous-improvement methods to operational and project challenges.
