Data Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines that ingest, clean, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
• Develop documented data models, schemas, and transformations using tools such as dbt.
• Implement data quality validation, testing, monitoring, alerting, governance, and documentation.
• Optimize storage, query performance, pipeline costs, and infrastructure efficiency while troubleshooting failures.
• Partner with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable datasets and infrastructure.
• Apply security and compliance practices, including access controls, encryption, and PII protection.

Requirements

• Strong SQL and Python skills for data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt, cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, and a major cloud platform.
• Experience with Git, data modeling and warehousing, dimensional modeling, star schemas, batch and streaming patterns, data quality, governance, and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ownership, reliability, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in fintech or high-volume transactional environments is valued.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or Pub/Sub, infrastructure as code, data catalog or observability tools, and system integrations.
• Intermediate or advanced English.
• Previous experience in a similar Data Engineer role.
• Portuguese is a plus.
