Senior Associate Scientist - Bioassay Development

Location: On-premise in Pearl River, New York, United States

Annual base salary: $68,600–$114,300, plus eligibility for a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Perform bioassay sample testing supporting vaccine, bioprocess, formulation, release, stability, characterization, and adjuvant compatibility studies.
• Develop and qualify analytical methods, including ELISAs, cell-based assays, and other bioassays.
• Perform calculations independently, analyze testing data, and discuss conclusions with the manager.
• Document experiments in an electronic laboratory notebook.
• Contribute to development reports, analytical test methods, and method qualification reports.
• Review scientific literature and provide daily laboratory operations support.

Requirements

• BA/BS with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or MA/MS in biology or a related discipline with 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Prior research experience in an analytical laboratory.
• Working knowledge of antibody-antigen interactions and bioassay analytical techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with plate-based immune methods such as ELISA.
• Experience with NGS workflows, including Illumina.
• Experience with laboratory automation, including Hamilton STAR.
• Experience documenting work in electronic laboratory notebooks.
