Freelance Software Tester With Smart TVs (Remote in Austria) (Functional Testing/Smart TVs): Testing a streaming platform across Smart TV devices with an accent on playback, navigation, and core functionality. Focus on executing test cases, reporting reproducible defects with evidence, and providing feedback during prelaunch, launch, and recurring test runs.

Location: Remote in EMEA; must be physically located in Austria during September

Pay rate: 35 USD/hour, paid weekly via PayPal or Payoneer

hirify.global is a global software testing company with a freelance network that tests applications for companies worldwide.

What you will do

  • Install streaming app builds on supported TV and media devices.
  • Execute functional test cases covering playback, navigation, and core functionality.
  • Report defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and recordings.
  • Provide feedback on issues identified during each testing run.
  • Participate in prelaunch, launch, and ongoing weekly test runs.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be physically located in Austria during September.
  • Must be comfortable navigating a streaming app in German.
  • Availability for a 30-minute account setup and approximately 2–10 hours of testing, depending on the test run.
  • Access to one or more supported devices: Samsung Tizen TV, LG TV, Hisense TV, Apple TV, Xbox, plus a laptop, PC, or MacBook.
  • Software testing experience is helpful but not required; free preparatory courses are available.
