Functional Test Engineer

Location: Diegem, Belgium; hybrid work with up to 70% from home. The flex abroad program allows working abroad for up to 45 days.

What you will do

• Define test strategies with project team members within time and budget constraints.
• Execute structured software testing and report application quality and risks to management.
• Assess application readiness for release based on testing outcomes.
• Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to create logical and physical test cases.
• Adapt testing approaches to changing project conditions and find solutions to keep testing on track.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Informatics, Mathematics, or a similar technical field.
• At least two years of experience in structured software testing.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, plus a good command of French.
• Strong analytical skills, flexibility, and a focus on quality.

• Experience designing creative solutions to overcome testing challenges.
