Controls Technician (Physical Infrastructure) - Memphis

Location: Onsite in the Memphis, TN / Southaven, MS area, with work across the Memphis / Southaven campus. Extended hours, weekends, and travel to other locations may be required.

What you will do

• Support integration and commissioning of vendor and OEM equipment into BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and plant PLC control systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain cooling plants, liquid-cooling loops, electrical distribution, data halls, and related facility control assets.
• Wire, build, commission, and validate industrial control panels and field devices in accordance with NFPA 79 and UL 508A.
• Navigate PLCs, HMIs, alarms, permissives, sequences, I/O status, and control logic to perform approved recovery and diagnostics.
• Diagnose and replace sensors, instrumentation, actuators, VFDs, pumps, valves, and industrial network components.
• Document repairs, work tickets, redlines, fault findings, and corrective actions while collaborating with Controls Engineers, facilities operations, and construction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate, plus 2+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems in an industrial, manufacturing, or critical-facility environment; or an associate's degree in a technical field.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 79, and UL 508A.
• Hands-on experience with fault finding, structured troubleshooting, electrical panel work, multimeter use, schematic reading, and problem resolution.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, sensors, instrumentation, actuators, VFDs, interlocks, and industrial networks.
• Ability to work onsite in the Memphis, TN / Southaven, MS area, work extended hours or weekends, and travel to other locations.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted and to walk, stand, climb ladders, bend, stoop, and work in tight spaces.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Allen-Bradley RSLogix, or Studio 5000.
• Experience with Ignition or other SCADA systems, CMMS, or work-ticket systems.
• Background in data centers, power generation, semiconductor, or other high-reliability industrial environments.
• Experience with IO-Link, temperature, flow, pressure, leak detection, proximity, or encoder instrumentation.
