Director of Coding Compliance (Healthcare)

Location: NM - Albuquerque, United States

Base pay: $121,200–$225,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Develop business plans and strategies for multiple lines of business and functions.
• Align enterprise strategies with line-of-business strategies through cross-functional collaboration.
• Represent business lines in annual enterprise multiyear planning and manage matrix relationships.
• Prepare executive communications and presentations for leadership and Board meetings.
• Oversee annual budgets, allocate resources, and build business cases for initiatives.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support investments and demonstrate return on investment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Record Administration, a related healthcare field, or equivalent work experience.
• National coding certification and 10 years of coding certification experience.
• 10 years of risk adjustment experience across Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA programs.
• Experience with ICD-10, HCPCS coding, and Risk Adjustment Data Validation audits.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple high-priority deadlines, work occasional evenings or weekends, and travel occasionally for required meetings.
