Mid-Level .NET Developer (Backend)

Location: Brazil; remote home-office position

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain back-end services using C#, ADO.NET, and SQL Server.
• Implement and evolve SOAP and REST APIs with appropriate versioning, security, and engineering practices.
• Integrate multiple systems and services using suitable software design patterns.
• Improve service reliability through unit and integration testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Review code, provide technical feedback, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to CI/CD workflows.
• Apply relevant emerging technologies and practices to improve existing solutions.

Requirements

• Mid-level professional experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core in production systems.
• Hands-on back-end development experience with C#, ADO.NET, SQL Server, database design, and performance tuning.
• Experience implementing and evolving SOAP and RESTful services, including versioning and best practices.
• Proficiency in XML serialization and deserialization, software design patterns, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Advanced English proficiency required; daily communication is in English.
• Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, adaptability, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with specification-driven development and agentic approaches to software development.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
