TL;DR
Director of Engineering (iGaming): Coordinating globally distributed engineering and QA teams delivering front-end and back-end software for a large-scale iGaming platform with an accent on reliability, security compliance, cloud platforms, and legacy code modernization. Focus on setting engineering strategy, managing delivery and hiring, improving internal processes, and coordinating integrations with external stakeholders.
Location: Hybrid role based in Marousi/Athens, Greece or Sofia, Bulgaria. The position may be filled in either Greece or Bulgaria.

What you will do
- Coordinate globally distributed engineering and QA teams and oversee front-end and back-end deliverables.
- Monitor and improve the reliability and performance of internal processes.
- Ensure compliance with security regulations and establish effective engineering goals, timelines, and objectives.
- Develop strategies for future projects aligned with company objectives and available resources.
- Hire and onboard engineers while coordinating team activities.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders on integrations and tools, including the adoption of innovative technologies.
Requirements
- Experience managing globally distributed engineering and QA teams at scale.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience refactoring legacy codebases.
- Knowledge of Agile and modern software development methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
