Engineering Manager - Core Infrastructure (Cybersecurity)

Location: USA - Remote, NY; Canadian-based employment is also available. Remote work is offered, with a hybrid schedule expected for employees located near an office.

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year for U.S. candidates; $150,000–$200,000 CAD per year for Canada-based employment, plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage a growing team of engineers building quality infrastructure platforms.
• Architect large-scale core infrastructure services and reusable infrastructure modules.
• Review, provide feedback on, and approve design proposals.
• Plan the product roadmap and influence engineering strategy across product engineering groups.
• Drive cloud cost optimization while balancing performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Define and enforce service deployment standards across a multi-cloud environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience and 4+ years managing people, including Senior Engineers.
• Experience with configuration management, provisioning, orchestration, and internal developer platforms.
• Experience designing immutable architectures, distributed systems, and large-scale Linux environments.
• Software development experience with Python or Go, plus design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS and GCP, and with TDD, CI/CD, Chaos Engineering, SRE, DevOps, and GitOps.
• Strong communication, on-call management, SLO management, error budgets, post-incident analysis, and AI technology adoption experience.
