UABOS Spain LN: War Reserve Materiel Mechanic (AGE)

Location: Seville, Spain; onsite duties at Morón Air Base

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Aerospace Ground Equipment, Ground Support Equipment, and munitions material handling trailers.
• Inspect, test, operate, troubleshoot, and determine the serviceability of support equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Operate pickup and delivery vehicles to transport, deliver, and recover equipment and materials across the base.
• Record maintenance activities in ELMS, IMDS, and other logistics database systems.
• Follow technical manuals, manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and government regulations while maintaining a safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma, vocational training certificate, technical Formación Profesional qualification, or equivalent.
• At least three years of hands-on experience with heavy diesel engines, agricultural or construction equipment, ground support equipment, automotive mechanics, or a related field.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Intermediate English proficiency, CEFR B1 or equivalent, is required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 23 kg unassisted and work for extended periods standing, bending, or kneeling in an active flight-line and industrial environment.

Nice to have

• Vocational training or certifications in diesel engine repair, advanced electrical systems, HVAC, or refrigeration.
• Experience with high-pressure hydraulic, pneumatic, and nitrogen systems.
• Experience in aviation, airport, military, or government-contract environments.
• Fluorinated gas handling certification recognized in Spain or the European Union.
• Heavy equipment towing experience, forklift certification, or familiarity with digital maintenance and logistics software.
