Team Lead Development (Node.js/TypeScript)

Location: Ghent, Belgium; hybrid setup with around 3 days per week working from the office

What you will do

• Lead delivery for an autonomous development team, keeping planning predictable and removing blockers.
• Conduct 1-on-1s, provide feedback, support career growth, and contribute to recruitment.
• Align priorities, scope, expectations, progress, and risks with the Product Manager and stakeholders.
• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, trust, and effective collaboration.
• Remain hands-on through cross-team projects and engineering work, spending approximately 40% of your time technically involved.
• Report to the CTO and collaborate with other Team Leads and Architects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive software engineering experience and strong technical credibility.
• Experience or strong affinity for leading, coaching, or mentoring people.
• Ability to balance business and engineering trade-offs and make pragmatic decisions.
• Clear communication with developers, product teams, and management.
• Fluent professional English, written and spoken.
