Scent Design Associate

What you will do

• Support fragrance development projects and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure timely execution.
• Conduct fragrance evaluations and provide olfactive feedback for fragrance selection and development.
• Develop fragrance solutions aligned with customer needs, brand positioning, and market trends.
• Monitor market, consumer, and fragrance trends and generate competitive and category insights.
• Prepare fragrance presentations, submissions, and supporting documentation for internal and customer projects.
• Collaborate with Perfumers, Marketing, Sales, Technical, and Regulatory teams while maintaining fragrance portfolios, libraries, and knowledge systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fragrance, Chemistry, Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in the fragrance industry, consumer products, sensory evaluation, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong interest in fragrances, consumer insights, and brand development, with good olfactory abilities and willingness to develop fragrance evaluation expertise.
• Strong organizational, project coordination, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Proficiency in English and availability to work onsite in Shanghai, China.

Nice to have

• Experience in fragrance evaluation, sensory science, consumer insights, or product development.
• Familiarity with Fine Fragrance, Personal Care, Home Care, or Air Care categories.
• Additional language skills and experience working with multinational teams and customers.
