Senior Backend Engineer (Web3)

What you will do

• Translate product requirements into technical designs, defining interfaces and workflows.
• Drive high-impact architectural decisions for the data platform, owning components from design to production.
• Build and optimize large-scale ingestion, distributed processing, and data lake storage systems.
• Break down complex problems into actionable tasks for the team.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar on design reviews and testing practices.
• Work across a stack including Go, Kotlin, Rust, and Python.

Requirements

• Strong generalist with deep computer science fundamentals.
• Experience designing and shipping distributed data systems.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and communicating technical trade-offs.
• Proficiency in using AI tools effectively while understanding their limitations.
• Experience with data lakes and formats such as Parquet, Iceberg, or Delta Lake.
• Must be based in Europe or the Eastern US to ensure timezone alignment.
