What you will do
- Build and evolve event-driven ingestion through EventBridge, Kinesis Firehose, S3, and Snowpipe for fraud, payments, and merchant data.
- Design Snowpark-based Python procedures for batch and third-party data integrations scheduled through Snowflake Tasks.
- Manage schema evolution, late-arriving data, partitioning, throughput tuning, and downstream data reliability.
- Own Terraform and Terragrunt infrastructure modules across multiple environments.
- Create Datadog monitoring and alerting, investigate ingestion failures, and improve production reliability.
- Build privacy-first dbt and Snowflake Dynamic Tables pipelines with testing, data-quality monitoring, and audit-ready outputs.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS event-driven ingestion, including Kinesis, EventBridge, S3 partitioning, queues, or dead-letter queues.
- Required experience with Terraform; Terragrunt experience is advantageous.
- Strong SQL and Snowflake experience, including Snowpipe, Tasks, and Snowpark.
- Experience building tested SQL and Python models in dbt.
- Python development skills for typed pipeline and infrastructure code, testing, and CI-deployed services.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or an equivalent CI/CD system, secrets management, PII protection, and Snowflake data governance.
