Member of Technical Staff I (UEFI/BIOS Firmware)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan. Successful background and reference checks and satisfactory proof of the right to work in Taiwan are required.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain UEFI/BIOS firmware for Intel client and embedded platforms.
• Design, implement, debug, and integrate firmware features based on project requirements.
• Support platform bring-up, validation, troubleshooting, and BIOS customization.
• Analyze and resolve firmware issues reported by customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and validation teams on project delivery and product releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of firmware or BIOS development experience.
• Proficiency in C and experience with firmware development and debugging.
• Knowledge of PC system architecture, UEFI/BIOS architecture, x86 architecture, and Intel client or embedded platforms.
• Experience with EDK II, Visual Studio Code, Git-based source control, and BIOS feature validation and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on UEFI/BIOS development experience.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
