Business Development Manager (Insurance)

Location: Hangzhou, China; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and manage the branch Client & Broker Engagement strategy and action plan.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, domestic insurers, in-house brokers, major clients, associations, and other business partners.
• Organize events, seminars, training sessions, and promotional activities for brokers and external partners.
• Promote products with relevant teams and analyze channel portfolios and insurance market information.
• Ensure CBE operations align with company procedures and compliance requirements.
• Control expenses within operational limits and complete additional duties assigned by distribution and branch leadership.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commercial insurance distribution and different distribution methods.
• Proven relationship management skills and a record of achieving strong sales results.
• Experience developing and executing sales and distribution plans.
• Strong commercial skills in analysis, planning, strategy, key relationships, and performance management.
• Fluent spoken and written English required.
• Awareness of legal and compliance issues.
