Financial Officer - Intern (Agricultural Finance)

Location: Onsite positions across Iowa, United States, with required travel to Omaha, Nebraska three times during the 12-week internship

Salary: $20 per hour; qualified interns also receive a $500 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Learn office procedures and assist with promotional and public activities.
• Input customers’ annual financial information and analyze their financial position.
• Conduct credit verifications with references and other lenders.
• Complete assigned projects supporting agricultural finance and lending operations.
• Observe customer prospecting, loan applications, renewals, closings, and appraisal procedures.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in agricultural business, accounting, finance, agricultural economics, animal science, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interest in agricultural finance, lending, and credit.
• Availability for a 12-week summer internship and travel to Omaha, Nebraska three times during the internship.
