Lead Integration & Test Engineer (Hypersonic Weapons)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Key 2026 production activities include establishing an integration and test process in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The position may require access to classified information, restricted U.S. Government sites, systems, or information, as well as applicable government authorization, citizenship, or other eligibility requirements.

What you will do

• Lead warhead-to-vehicle integration, including mechanical mating, electrical interface verification, fuze and safe-and-arm installation, and safe-separation testing.
• Develop and execute vehicle-level integration and test plans covering functional checkout, ordnance arming, environmental qualification, and system verification.
• Design and commission integration tooling, test fixtures, data-acquisition systems, and automated test equipment.
• Oversee thermal, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, and functional performance testing of integrated warhead-vehicle systems.
• Support flight-test preparation, range coordination, pre-flight checkout, post-flight analysis, and anomaly resolution.
• Lead cross-functional integration and test teams, mentor engineers, and improve test automation and digital-thread processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, systems engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of integration and test experience with complex aerospace or defense systems, including 4+ years with warheads, munitions, or energetic systems.
• Experience leading vehicle-level integration and test campaigns, preferably for missile or hypersonic programs.
• Experience with ordnance handling, safe-and-arm devices, energetic-materials integration, environmental testing, requirements management, and configuration control.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, data acquisition, telemetry, and 3D CAD for integration planning.
• Ability to satisfy applicable U.S. Government export-control, security-clearance, citizenship, or other eligibility requirements when required for the assignment.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with DoD missile or hypersonic warhead programs.
• Knowledge of insensitive munitions and advanced warhead designs.
• Prior flight-test support at ranges.
• Experience with classified programs and TS/SCI-level work.
• Experience in fast-paced development environments.
