Location: Fully onsite at the headquarters in Irvine, California, United States

Salary: $100,000–$200,000 per year, plus benefits, equity, and paid time off.

What you will do

  • Drive strategic software integration, debugging, and rapid capability development for autonomous wheeled robotic platforms.
  • Own deployment, integration, testing, and ongoing field performance across federal and commercial programs.
  • Build utilities and tools for integration and automated testing of system software builds.
  • Work across software, electronics, networking, and mechanical interfaces to solve complex system problems.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams, incorporate field feedback, and support adoption of mission-critical robotic systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and analytical insight to advance robust software architectures.

Requirements

  • PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or an MS in a related field with at least 2 years of industry or applied research experience.
  • Software engineering experience across the full program lifecycle, including early-stage system design and development.
  • Experience with robotics middleware such as ROS, ROS 2, or similar distributed robotics systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems, real-time communications, and embedded systems using C/C++ on constrained hardware.
  • Experience managing complex programs with multiple dependencies in agile or hybrid frameworks, including financial modeling, ROI analysis, and KPI tracking.
  • U.S. Person eligibility is required for projects connected to the U.S. government.

Nice to have

  • Experience deploying, operating, or maintaining mission-critical systems in real-world environments.
  • Experience with Jira, Wrike, Confluence, or similar program management tools.
  • Experience working directly with customers in high-stakes settings and translating needs into technical solutions.
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite with customers as needed.
