Business Operations Manager (Defence)

Location: Adelaide or Melbourne, Australia; hybrid work from home and office may be considered, along with a 9-day fortnight.

What you will do

• Deliver Business Operations capability and services for the Combat Systems Integration Integrated Project Team.
• Lead WHS, ICT, facilities, governance, government-furnished material, and continuous improvement functions.
• Establish and manage business operations within the contract commercial framework.
• Develop the national facilities strategy and ICT strategy and roadmap.
• Establish the CSI Management System and governance framework.
• Lead the Business Operations Team, manage work packages, and report contract execution to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Senior management experience in a project-oriented organisation delivering complex systems solutions.
• 5+ years of Program Manager or Business Operations Manager experience in a defence acquisition environment is desirable.
• Experience managing complex engineering development projects and implementing project management methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
• A degree in Project Management, Business, Commercial, or Engineering is desirable; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
• Must be an Australian citizen and hold or be able to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level.
