Senior AI/ML Engineer

What you will do

• Develop state-of-the-art machine-learning and deep-learning models and proof-of-concepts.
• Design, implement, and deploy advanced ML solutions for next-generation projects, products, and processes.
• Build surrogate models to accelerate computationally expensive finite-element simulations.
• Apply reinforcement learning, evolutionary algorithms, and related optimization methods to engineering design and storage systems.
• Develop solutions for nanoscale material discovery, HDD component design, predictive maintenance, data flow, storage architectures, and filesystem optimization.
• Collaborate with physicists, materials scientists, firmware engineers, and other domain experts to implement AI solutions.

Requirements

• PhD or master’s degree in computer science, AI/ML, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong foundation in linear algebra, probability, statistics, optimization, and calculus.
• Hands-on experience with supervised or unsupervised learning, deep learning, transformers, or generative AI, including GANs, VAEs, or diffusion models.
• Depth in at least one area such as scientific machine learning, generative design, graph neural networks, optimization and reinforcement learning, or systems and storage.
• For systems architecture specialization, strong knowledge of operating-system internals and low-level programming in C or C++ is essential.

Nice to have

• Experience with C/C++ or Java.
• Experience with physics-informed neural networks, Fourier neural operators, DeepONet, molecular or material structures, or complex engineering systems.
