AMHS Equipment Technician (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor and inside clean rooms.

Annual salary range: $60,450–$99,770 USD for an hourly role.

What you will do

• Monitor AMHS operations and respond to system issues to maintain continuous manufacturing flow.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment setup, and calibration.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble electromechanical equipment using blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Log system errors and maintenance activity in designated databases and respond to escalations with service desk and engineering teams.
• Support AMHS installation and modification projects and collaborate with hardware engineers and product owners on complex issues.
• Train and certify team members while maintaining advanced equipment certification milestones and safety standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with relevant technical or equipment maintenance experience, or an applicable associate's or bachelor's degree with equipment maintenance experience.
• Relevant experience requirements range from 2 or more years of equipment maintenance experience to 4 or more years of hands-on technical experience, depending on education and background.
• Ability to lift 25-pound parts, climb ladders, and work at heights or on raised platforms.
• Must work more than 90% of the time on-site in a clean-room and manufacturing-floor environment.
• Ability to work extended periods in non-permit-required confined spaces and rotate across shifts.

Nice to have

• Experience with AMHS hardware and software, robotic drives, actuators, microcontrollers, and electromechanical systems.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with Design of Experiments, command centers, operations management, and electrical or mechanical measuring devices.
• Experience working at heights, with ladders, raised platforms, or mobile elevated work platforms.
