Robot Teleoperation Specialist (Robotics)

Location: Onsite in London, UK; hybrid location type. Part-time contractor role, 1–2 days per week, with the option to increase hours.

Contract duration: Minimum 3 months, renewable.

What you will do

• Operate robots with teleoperation equipment according to predefined tasks and standard operating procedures.
• Run reliable and consistent teleoperation sessions to support data collection.
• Monitor robot behavior and flag unexpected or unsafe events.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe operating environment.
• Provide session feedback and notes when required.
• Collaborate with operations staff and follow direction from session leads.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Comfort working on your feet and using teleoperation or VR-style equipment.
• High consistency, reliability, and focus during repetitive or extended sessions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Coachability, curiosity, adaptability, and openness to feedback.
• Ability to adapt to changing task requirements in an R&D environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with robot teleoperation, simulation, or VR systems.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• Ability to learn new physical tasks quickly and improve execution over time.
