CTO Office Team Member (AI Agent Security) (AI agent security/cybersecurity): Building working proofs of concept for emerging AI agent security problems with an accent on technical research, hands-on prototyping, and product validation. Focus on defining ambiguous problems, evaluating attack paths and defensive controls, making architecture tradeoffs, and transitioning successful prototypes into product development.

What you will do
- Turn ambiguous AI agent security challenges into working proofs of concept grounded in technical reality.
- Research customer needs, cybersecurity gaps, and technical feasibility before and during development.
- Own the full execution cycle from problem scoping and architecture through prototyping, evaluation, documentation, and delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, R&D, and GTM to demonstrate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Make decisions on architecture, tooling, and tradeoffs while moving quickly from ambiguity to tangible prototypes.
- Lead successful proof-of-concept transitions into Engineering and Product for productization.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience in engineering or security research.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents, including understanding their capabilities and failure modes.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity attack paths and defensive controls.
- Ability to evaluate both customer value and technical feasibility when defining what to build.
- Ability to work from a blank page, define scope and completion criteria, and operate with high autonomy.
- Strong communication skills for presenting prototypes and documenting technical reasoning.
Nice to have
- Experience building or researching cybersecurity products.
- Experience with AI agents or AI agent security.
- Experience in an early-stage startup or zero-to-one environment.
- Previous team lead or tech lead experience.
- Public technical work such as blog posts, conference talks, open-source contributions, or published papers.
