Laboratory Assistant (Water Chemistry)

Location: Onsite in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Ireland

Salary: Up to €28,696 per year

What you will do

• Support the Water Chemistry team with efficient and accurate processing of customer samples.
• Maintain clean and orderly laboratory areas and clean laboratory equipment, including refrigerators, incubators, and stability chambers.
• Manage laboratory stock, prepare reagents, and perform equipment calibration and checks.
• Complete laboratory documentation to the required ALCOA+ standard and maintain training records.
• Handle waste disposal and report safety, housekeeping, quality, or operational discrepancies.
• Participate in the on-call rota and adapt working days or hours to laboratory requirements.

Requirements

• Leaving Certificate qualification.
• Full driver's licence required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Competence using Word, Excel, Outlook, and other PC-based tools.
• Ability to complete documentation, training, and laboratory support activities to the required standard.

Nice to have

• GMP experience or knowledge.
• Experience with electronic record keeping.
