Last Mile Operations Manager (Logistics and Delivery Operations): Leading last-mile delivery operations for a new fulfillment center with an accent on delivery performance, team development, safety compliance, and operational standardization. Focus on building routing and dispatch processes, analyzing delivery KPIs, solving live cross-functional challenges, and scaling Area Manager teams.

Location: On-site in Opatovice nad Labem, Czech Republic. Regular Monday–Friday business hours are expected, with occasional Saturdays, weekends, and holidays during operational peaks.

What you will do

  • Lead last-mile operations at a newly launched fulfillment center, owning delivery performance, on-time rates, safety, productivity, and labor management.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Area Managers while ensuring staffing, skills, and operational readiness.
  • Monitor delivery KPIs, conduct root-cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement and standardization.
  • Work with Transport, OpEx, HR, IT, and Automation teams to solve operational challenges and align resources.
  • Support the implementation of new processes, tools, routing systems, and dispatch systems.
  • Provide hands-on operational support during peak periods and help teams adopt new ways of working.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in last-mile, logistics, transport, or delivery operations management.
  • Experience managing teams of 50 or more people in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical, data-driven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in English and conversational-level Czech.
  • Availability for on-site work in Opatovice nad Labem and occasional Saturday support.

Nice to have

  • University degree or MBA in a related field.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with routing and dispatch systems, fleet management tools, and high-volume delivery operations.
