Global Commodity Manager (Manufacturing): Developing global sourcing strategies and managing supplier networks for precision components, instrumentation, welding accessories, regulated medical devices, and finished products with an accent on supplier performance, cost competitiveness, quality, and supply chain resilience. Focus on leading RFQs and negotiations, qualifying suppliers, managing savings targets, mitigating sourcing risks, and coordinating international supplier audits.
Location: Chotěboř, Czech Republic; hybrid working with flexible hours and approximately 20–25% international travel.

What you will do
- Develop and execute global commodity strategies across GCE businesses and plants.
- Identify, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers for precision components, seals, instrumentation, hoses, welding accessories, regulated medical devices, trade goods, and finished products.
- Lead RFQs, tenders, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract negotiations.
- Manage supplier quality, delivery, lead times, commercial performance, corrective actions, and operational escalations.
- Drive cost optimization through spend analysis, benchmarking, supplier consolidation, global sourcing, value engineering, and savings/PPV targets.
- Coordinate with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain teams while conducting supplier visits, audits, and business meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity or category management, or procurement, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience managing global suppliers and sourcing across multiple sites or businesses.
- Strong skills in sourcing strategy, RFQs and tenders, contract negotiation, spend analysis, benchmarking, cost optimization, and supplier performance management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Czech is required.
Nice to have
- Technical background in mechanical, electronics, or electrical engineering.
- Experience with regulated or CE-marked products and medical-device requirements.
- Knowledge of MDR/MDD, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or FDA requirements.
- Experience with ERP, e-sourcing, or supplier-management systems such as M3, PPS040, or Open One.
- Knowledge of an additional language.
